Will have one as your farewell, how about that?

I just spent the last past day muddling with Flash and get my photography work site up.

Before you view it, you need Flash Player 8 as my whole site is built on flash.

Now here's the site.

Note: The logo is temporary until a concrete design is out.

It take quite some time to go in/download. Maybe I am on 2mbps connection only?

Ok. Anyway, enjoy viewing.

I'm going out to watch movie liao. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

I think it's my images. Haha! I shall resized those images and re-upload them up. :)

Anyone came across Alex Photo at Peninsular before? Same building as CP but the store is at level 2. Saw an ultra mint 50D. My eyes went this big O.O but as I never heard of them before I never stepped in and ask the price. :embrass:

Shyt man. I love the 50D. Kaoz.

I had resized the image files hence now the loading time should have been decreased but do bear awhile for the index page to load as it contains the bulk of the whole site. Managed to bring that page from 8mb down to 6mb.

The rest of the subpages are below 100kb. :)

Ok.

Lol. What are you going to get? Saw so many types of 3rd parties flashes at those uncommon shops. You can try K-13. Saw a crowd inside just now too. Some are students in uniform.

@Raylen: when are you leaving for aussie?

Looks great, but it won't stand out amongst the others because every single photographer's web portfolio looks about the same (layout). Find some elements and make them recognizable and really stand out.

For the loading, don't load all the images at the start. Load thumbnails and previews only, and only the high-res image when they enlarge it. It would probably be quite frustrating when every single image you click, you'll have to wait for load time. So keep the flash loading the high-res images while they look at the thumbnails and preview.

I'd suggest not making the load so long because sometimes they just want the contact information. You could also post your contact information at the footer or header.

Don't make it too big, the attention span on the net is really short. Make sure the web server is located in Singapore (if your general target audience is from Singapore).

Edit: I have to scroll down a little to see the footer links. People might find it difficult to navigate.

I lost touch with Flash for 3-4 years. I need to get the hang of it first before going in deeper and crack all the high-lvl scripting once again. ;p

As for layout, I just want it simple if not I could have hire my friend to do a uberly awesome flashy site for me. Haha! =D

The web server is located in SG. ;)

Noted all your pointers though. As for the footer. It's designed for best view with 1024x768 on a 17" monitor. But if your browser has those bars at the top, the scroll part will come into play as it's designed to have only the address bar. =p
