I am not familiar with the lens code.
How old is the lens with USxxx code?

Lens code determines the year and month of production. USxxxx seems to be 2004.

lol bbbbbb
Bro, how do u think about the grey set from OP?
I think Vincent has tried to buy the grey set lens from OP,rite?
Have u ever heard any comments about the grey set from him?

ok ah. i buy most from there also. no problem

Hm... not sure about that but I guess IS can only improve the situation by a little than using 70-200mm f/2.8 with/without IS.

With IS, you can go under the normal 1/focal length to have sharp image still but also depending on your hand stability - jelly hands then that's another problem. Haha!

Without IS, you have to keep to the rule although, if you got no choice or have super steady hands then go under the rule.

This is what I have found out on myself and also told by some photographers.

Indeed, but just how well f/4 IS works for wedding shoots is still a question. I would suggest renting the lenses (f/2.8 and f/4 with/without IS), try it and see which one is better. :)

Or perhaps scud can advise better on this issue? :bsmilie:

Anyway, welcome. :)

Hi all,

been on the 450D for about half a year but have never really ventured into this club, so here I am!

Hope to learn for all of you and maybe join some of your events.

Cheers!

More people, the thread move faster again.

Intend to get the Tokina 50-135mm F/2.8 but cannot get the local set from both MS Colour and OP. Now considering whether I should buy the 70-200mm F/4L instead of it. or maybe just keep the money first...;p

70200 F4L

Btw, I saw TCW selling 580EX II @ $630 but forgot to ask what warranty. Haha!

Anyway, was looking at Safrotto slingbag. Clone of some Domke mode, forgot which 1l. Price is just nice but only got khaki colour so I might go for the clone of F-2. ;p

Sell my Lowepro sling 1st. Haha! :bsmilie:

if u happen to drop by again.. help me ask whether it is a grey le..
thinking of getting a 580 EX II else 430 ExII.. simply torn between this two..

im thinking of the nissin. should i? its half the price and i heard its not bad :S

What's your budget 1st? If budget allowed, always go for Canon flash. Although I myself is using Nissin flash due to budget constraint. Just like when on tight budget, I go for nissin noddle. :P

Its more of whats my objective. I dont see myself using the flash alot. Just need it for one wedding event. So ,I dont think I should overspend on something which will prolly be underutilized.

Hows the Nissin flash ,btw?

Why not just go and borrow/rent a canon flash then since it is just for 1 day only?

For me, Nissin flash is more than enough for me. Use it during for my outdoor zoo trip, not bad I would say. But some of them overexposed due to the flash(not direct).

Still learning how to use the flash.

Perhaps one should consider Canon's Speedlite high speed sync feature.

1: EF 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 II USM
2: EF 28-200mm f3.5-5.6 USM
