Used AI Servo and still the same?
No point using AI Servo. They are just damn fast. Cycling at an average speed of approximately 50kmph. During the sprint lap, I think they went up to about 60+ kmph.
:bsmilie: That fast?![]()

:bsmilie: As expected. But didn't know the speed would be like what RyanG has mentioned.
We didn't expect too. We shoot elite category, not those 20-50km category. Elite just sprint sprint sprint all the way :bsmilie: As expected. But didn't know the speed would be like what RyanG has mentioned.
Need to take care of other factor also right? In order to get good panning shots:
1.) Look for the part where the subject moves slowest.
2.) If your subject is moving too fast, you need to move along it at a slow but steady pace.

Lets get 70-200mm f/2.8 IS! :devil:ninja boy, talk is easy..
but when u try it, it's alot more difficult, they will like moving..................
but well, practice make prefect...do it a few times, we slowly get the hang of it.
where ur pics, ninja?
not even one lor...i'm sad:cry:
Well, the first point meant, stand a corner or places where cyclists need to slow down. You can get shots there. They are just some of my tips. Not perfect!I'm no expert in panning but it would appears to me that the first point seems to be somewhat unachievable on moving target of constant high speed though.![]()
