it's brand new. I have 2 CDs in the box but none seem to install it.
found a way to use the updater provided by canon website though.
Haha....no one prominent from this thread came to collect. All couldn't make it. Other 450D users came by to collect. Didn't get to meet RyanG or Proteinlens.

Was trying the 50mm f1.4 today. Awesome lens. Haha.Yea. She so easy-going that I will pay you for everything without me stating my T&C and charges. LOL.
But I panicked as I only got kit lens and my 50mm with me. But the performances, floats and performers are so near to my cam that my 50mm works for me. Haha!

i tried to shoot chingay too. but many turned out bad. i used a 1/60 shutter to minimize blur from movement and used the built-in flash. the flash take some time to recharge and i missed a few precious shots.
did you face any problems? how to over come them?
regarding the 1/4000 shot with flash, i was just asking for the extreme hee..so i guess the condition must be very bright to shoot in 1/4000 ba.
anyway, what are the purposes and benefits for an external flash? how do i choose a good one? anyone to recommend?

is the difference between a 50mm f1.4 and a 50mm f1.8 great?
i'm not sure about the image taken or the amount of shutter it allows one to go faster but,
looking at the price guide it differs a lot in price.
not only this of course, there are quite a few that differs in many hundreds with just a few drops of F-stops. but as a noob, i'm not sure does the 0.x value makes any difference.

Quite good. Difference wise, there is a fair bit of difference, like sharper images at Apertures like 1.4 or 1.8. With excellent "Bokeh" and beautiful built quality. Price wise, way more expensive than the normal 50mm f1.8. If you haven't gotten any 50mm prime lens, then you might want to consider the 50mm f1.4 instead of the 50mm f1.8, but if you already have the later, keep it.
Price of the 50mm f1.4 - Around 500+
Price of the 50mm f1.8 - Around 100+

17-55mm F2.8 or 24-105mmL F4? Hmm...should be upgrading to a 5DMKII after NS, that's about 3 years later. So which one should i get? Hmm. I love both, but no money to get both. Hmm...What do you guys think.
