Did anyone else use Canon EOS 400D ? Are you getting correct exposure without adjusting any exposure compensation ? I felt it bit lower (1/3 to 2/3 stops of ev).

Anyone faced any ISO noise issue ? I feel like more noisy than 350D or 30D.

If anyone else used it, please post the feedback here.

I went to canon and they said that it must be better than 350D and shouldn't have any issue. Please share your results. I am yet to take more pics. Will also update later

im a 350D user. i don't own the 400D, but accoridng to a few reviews i've read, it is marginally noisier than the 350D, mainly because it's squeezing 2 more mp into the sensor. the pixel size is smaller though whihc means that the noise patterns are finer.

There could be a whole bunch of reasons why you are not getting correct exposures. For starters, are you telling the camera to read the light the way you want.

putting everything without compensation will not give you correctly exposed pics unless you're shooting mid-tones

But I used a 400d. The camera is very good, but found it slightly noisy and under exposed. But you still have to try a lot to judge it.

There are comparisons of D80 with 400D, and d80 is a superior one than 400d. The pictures are sharper, and less noisier in D80. But it all depends on you, which one to go for. If you are a Canon fan, u will never say Nikon is good. A Nikonian will never say canon is good.

Canon and Nikon are good and what's really matter is the one behind the camera.:)

when underexposed, all cameras produce noise when you pull it up (push curves to increase exposure), does not matter what brand you use. The higher the ISO, the more pronunce the effect, esp in the shadow areas.

agree to all. Pls try out once and compare with your older toy. If the same person stands behind the older and newer toy, there shouldn't be much difference. I woun't like to overexpose almost everytime.
