I agree with u, dSLR body cannot do without local warranty. My 5D has been going in and out of Canon Singapore Service Centre.

Something I dun understand is why consumers in Singapore have to pay more? This is not fair, its not like the Japanese (or Hong Konger) are not getting local warranty support for their cheaper selling price sets wad!

Quick way to get back to 45point autofocus selection from a manually selected point

Hold down halfway the shutter and press right most button with your right thumb (the one on the right of the * button)..

I set mine to 45pt autofocus selection most of the time... and if i need to just get the center i press the WB button (left of the * button) and if i want to get the surrounding points, i use the rear command dial to circle around the 9 buttons.

CF 11: 2 (AF point selection method with the rear command dial)
CF 13: 4 (9 AF point manual selection)
CF 18: 1 (set center point af button to the WB button)
It also hels if you set
CF 17: 1 (using the surrond 7 point to help your single AF points when you manually select points)
