I thought TK was selling it for 2800? So has the price actually went up?

Tried negotiating to 2800 but they seems to know that stocks is limited. I told them up stair is selling cheaper....but their reply is, "got stock meh?"

They know you smoking them :bsmilie:

TK photo has good service but the hard truth is they are still shop and want our money ultimately. Almost no shops really sincerely want to help us to get the gears we want and enjoy.

They got margin to follow one la.. And their profits arent exactly a lot to begin with.

the shop upstairs really has stock.just purchase a piece at a good price (<$2850)

Yup, and considering it cost more than the 70-200 markii!!

But really there is no better choice of a standard L zoom lens to match a full frame dslr.
The other choice is the older 24-105. But IQ of the new 24-70 is much better.

This lens have been launched in September, it has been flying off the shelves since.

Woo Hooo....

Finally got it in hand....

I think this lens will probably stick to my cam most of the time...

The IQ is really superb...

Opps... Ya... we rented one 24-70 II recently.... I thought the weight and the build was good.... IQ was sharp compared to the Ver I that is both heavier and IQ slightly poorer....

Supply of this lens is still pretty tight so no price drop expected till then.... or is the demand of this lens so high????

No, I mean physically "tight" during zooming in and out. Maybe because I only use it over weekends.

"Tight" is great for other things .... But not for lens ... Ya rental lens all very loose already ..
