Is there any one know about the quality of the EOS bag?
Is it originally from Canon or third party one?
How about the CF card? High speed type or normal speed?

The price of the 40D may drop, but my guess is that not by much. As it stands, the 40D's current price is already pretty good. A far cry from the $2xxx it started with a year before.

As to whether it's worth getting it, as some people say, moments frozen in pictures are simply priceless. The answer then is up to you.

Prices of 40D and 450D are very close now. If 40D price goes down again due to 50D, 450D has to reduce price too. Otherwise, cannot differentiate the 2 market segments and people will surely go to 40D. That is from marketing point of view. My own thinking only.

Hmmm...just $200 off the standard retail? I think they can do slightly better than that. Canon said that the 50D will not be a successor to 40D. Hence, I think the 40D price unilkely to drop much or may even stay the same. The body of the 50D alone is $500 more than 40D. Read on the internet that the kit lens might be a 18-200mm. Not sure how good it is.

hey bundy go down to MS if you really want to get it tell them they e quote some others including me 1560(incl. gst) see if they sell you that price. I will support the 40D

Read on the internet that the (50D) kit lens might be a 18-200mm. Not sure how good it is.

that's quite ambitous though. The challenge is to make sure that the resolving power of the sensor and the lens are well-matched.

I doubt 50D will be out. probably due only in Feb 2009. The 5D II will prob show its face tho, but i'm not sure and i don't wanna start a rumour here.

I'm going to london for a year in a few weeks time, so ill prob buy a 40D and sell it in london just before i return. after all, the price in UK is much higher than what we have here so i prob wont lose much :bsmilie:
