Went to sitex just now.

I cannot decide on 40D or 450D

40D Twin Lens Kit with EF S18-55IS & EF S55-250IS $1999

450D kit EF S18-55IS $1299

Pitty there no purchase with purchase EF 75-300 f/4-5.6 III USM len at $59 like the 1000D offer. I need the longer lense to snap sports, landscapes ... ... far away objects.

Could purchase EF S55-250 IS at $459.

But a the lense on offer good?

Frankly dont get Cameras from Sitex unless you need the freebies? I think the memory card they give are like no brands one.. not sure how good will it work..

You can get 55-250 outside around 330+ .

I think the 75-300 is going so cheaply due to its underperformance.. Reviews on it aint that good... Get a 55-250 instead =)

I think many will advice 40D if you can afford it.. Check out the street price at some of the reputable store before purchasing it I guess.. Such IT show dont really offer that great bargain i feel =X

Btw, the tripod is some japalang one? (Correct me if im wrong)

If its a lousy one.. you will need to get a better one in the future.. rendering the freebie tripod useless ;)

Other than Sitex. Other shop selling at lower price without more free things.

40D Dual Kit (S18-55, S55-250) $1839 (CF 4GB, Bag)

450D kit II (S18-200) $1779 (SD 8GB, Bag, Battery)

Too bad that I did not pick up the 40D Dual Kit (S18-55, S55-250), I took up the S18-55 only as I inherit 70-300mm lens from my brother.

However, it turned out that there is fungus in the top few element of the 70-300mm lens.

Understand that S55-250 has won some award for entry level lens so it is worth considering.

I wonder will the performance of the 70-300mm lens affected after getting it clean? Anyone care to share his or her experience?

40D Dual Lens Kit with EF S18-55IS & EF S55-250IS was quoted to me at $1780.

maximize your 40D with good lens as well... im not counting out the kit lens coz it cam produce descent shots as well but there are some instances that kit lens cant cope with.

Wah, good deal for dual kit.

I wonder whether kit Lens and non-kit Lens make a lot of different if the non-kit Lens is not 'L' series?

Anyone done any comparison test?
