hey guys sry i'm new here and I made and enquiry via the "contact us" section regarding the buy back programme and they replied me as follows:

We do not have any trade-in programme.

What we have is a privilege purchase programme for customer's faulty camera when send in for servicing and if it is not economical to repair.

Then we will propose to customer to purchase a new model at our privilege purchase price and we will take back the faulty camera.

We advise you to send in the camera to our Customer Service Centre for checking at:

Its buy-back program lah.If you go to Canon with your old camera and tell them you want to trade-in,they'll stare at you the whole day...

I just used a old film camera to get a EOS550D KITII. But it was two weeks ago, and Canon still says that they do not have any stocks.

Anyone having the same problem?

The two weeks wait is making my hand itchy that I was thinking of getting the battery grip first from eBay:bsmilie:

I was also told to wait 2weeks during my order but eventually got it after 3 weeks because the stock took time to arrive.
