i was wondering if my batt(charged once/ used for a few shots) performance would be affected if i store it now?

What do you mean affected, if you mean losing charge, all rechargeables will lose their capacity when you store it, it's just the matter of how extensive the loss it, that's why it's always advisable to charge the battery again later when you want to use it (assumin 1-2 months from now).
