hey guys know where to get the BG-E6 and how much is it, cathay photo quoted 449, seems kinda expensive and its out of stock
today i went to lucky plaza and surveyed the prices of the macro lens and extension tubes and i came across filters which the dealers claimed to be useful for my camera. i visited 3 shops and their prices for the filter are SGD85, 110 and 28.
can anyone explain the great difference in the prices?

ic, lucky i didnt buy though i almost wanted to purchase it. even the dealer who offered the steinzeiser filter for SGD28 told me Hoya costs 80+?
erm btw, may i know where i can buy the Hoya filter?

what a swindler. even a b+w 58mm filter doesn't cost as much. anyway, always do your homework before buying from shops - reputable or not.

just got the same one for my canon 500d at challenger vivocity for non member price of $29. good to have it on the lens as protection too
just 4 hours ago, i went to lucky plaza,yes again, and they were selling digital king and vitacom lens. the price for both brands are the same ,costing SGD95 each. isit a worth buying accessories. i passed by a few more photography shops and they are selling at 100+ to 200+.
could anyone comment on the quality wrt canon, or any advise on these items..

Why do you want to buy Steinseizer when Hoya one is cheaper?thanks for the info. i will probably get one tomorrow.

Hoya = Japan brand
I wold not buy ANY camea equipment fom Lucky Plaza. if you want reasonable prics for camera stuf go to Cathay Photo in peninsular plaza, or maybe Orient Photo in Sim Lim Squae. check out prices of items here on the forum so you know what prices to expect. this way you'll know if they're ripping you off. you can be a noob and still not get ripped off. prices here on the forum put together by forummers are sometimes optimistic, but you can't be too far off. if you get to within $5-10 of the posted price here that's fair. by the time you run around to another shop you mght have wasted more time and money with transportation.
With Lucky Plaza you're really pushing your luck. tourists get cheated there on a daily basis. some pay $100 for a $20 electric shaver.

huh?oops i thought the person i quoted bought a hoya filter for 29. so how much for Hoya filter?
