If you find yourself shooting mostly at the long end of the 70-200mm, then's it's wise to get the 200mm f/2.8L. Although not as stellar as the legendary 200mm f/1.8L, it's sharpness should still blow away most modern-day zooms....

The 135mm f/2L seems to get rave reviews from users regarding it's sharpness being one of Canon's best, whichever forum you read all over the world. Won't go wrong with either choice, best is get both! Match them with a 1.4x TC and get a 280mm f/4L and 189mm f/2.8L respectively on a FF camera..... (with minimum loss of IQ).

Something just struck my mind, I should actually rent the f2.8 IS instead of just the f2.8 right? In this way I can try both the f2.8 with and without the IS function just by a switch of the button right? :mad2: Ha!

if u rent and feel that u tend to use the 200mm end, get the 200mm prime lens.

Yup... now to rent that lens...
