Well, the pictures were made by someone else, not me if you are talking about these.
I intend to make this one of my project after my retirement (unless someone beats me to it). I have make inquiries to the China manufacturers in making the mold but seems the initial investment on making the mold is quite expensive if only a few thousands are made.

Molds are usually the big stumbling block for cost. Since a lens has a lot of angles, it makes the price even more than usual.

Yeah, so I am also waiting for the Mark II/Mark III of the lens to come out before committing to a certain model. Otherwise, the product will be outdated even before they come out.

i think if you really make this out, sales in singapore alone will hit afew thousands.
and can consider shipping out to other countries ??
might be able to get more sales in like US etc.

The 70-200 L Tumbler is only given out the those present at the press conference at the Winter Olympics. Gonna be hard to get hold of one since now that the whole world is looking to get them, unless someone who is using Nikon wanna sell it away...
I think its another clever marketing by Canon. Imagine all those ppl at the press conference carry out their tumblers, it would looked like suddenly all of them are having additional Canon L lens.
