Canon 60D or Nikon D7000

To me , i look at the lens more than the body. As i like canon lens but not the body. Nikon body look well for me but not the lens because im thinking of getting a 24-70mm f2.8 lens and Nikon is slightly expenisve by $400 .

Actually the Nikon 24-70/2.8 is an excellent piece of optics. You can do a quick search and see what Canon folks say about the Nikon 24-70. ;)

I am still using the D200 for some years now and really interested to upgrade. Considering changing to 60D as the review are great! Really impress by the sample photo that I have seen so far. But already have many accessories from Nikon.

Any advice from anyone?

Stick with Nikon bah. I assume that you have already built up a collection of lens and have been used to the "way" to use the cam.
Dont just switch system cuz you see a good review of a body.

P.S. I am a Canon user.......

Oo, so Nikon glass on high end lenses is better than canon?? i thought canon got the best lenses between both of them.

Any bad point about Nikon lens???

I didn't say that. But in the case of 24-70/2.8, most Canon folks I know say the Nikon one is slightly better. sharper wide open.

There are winners in each camp. If you think that Canon is the best... well... too bad.

You know what is called "claims"?

O.o , maybe i have tried Canon 24-70mm before but not Nikon, shall tried it tomorrow before i decide on which 1 to purchase.
Sorry about that, i got 1 more question to ask. Does good lens glass affect the IQ??

thanks for all the bros' advise.

I agree that moving from Nikon and Canon will have BIG financial impact with reinvesting a whole new set of of equipment. So now either I look at the D7000 or the D300S from my D200. D7000 is a newer camera with better MP vs D300S. Any idea if the D300S upgrade is due soon? Been around for 3year by now? Any Rumours?

1. MP is not everything.
2. Yes, many many many rumors in the Nikon section and on the nikonrumors website. Go look.

Generally.. a good lens will be sharper than the normal kit/stock lenses. But they are not cheap.

Thanks guys for all the help from upgrading dslr. i went down to funan and try both Dslr and i personally felt that canon system is better for me as i totally dont know how to use an nikon dslr. from what i see canon dslr image colour seems to be better than nikon. What is bad of all this is that i wanted to buy a Canon 60d kit 3 but i cant buy it as i exceed my atm card amount. T_T have to go back and get it another day.

After all thanks a lot.

How odd, I usually hear the opposite. Are you sure they didn't just increase the saturation for you? and did you compare on the same PC or on the camera LCDs?

Canon colour is more saturated...

I agree with rashkae, If I use e default setting for my 60d w/o boosting it's sat n colour, it turns out to be pretty neutral, have see. Nikon's images on e lcd screen, have not compare on e same pc.
But what I have heard abt nikon n canon is pretty much e same as rashkae.

If my memory serves...Canon's Raw is lacking in the saturation department (thou can be PP back) as compared to Nikon's.

i did compare at the lcd screen. the canon colour look more natural , nikon colour look abit fake.
What do you guys think?? is there a big different from both of the brand when taking raw pictures??
