I've a 7D in hand now, gonna shoot some test footage tmr.

25p coming to 5D2 in 2010 =) I agree with Jaegersing point about not wanting to deal with the shallow DOF on a steadicam. Already flown 5D2 and 7D couple of times.

I made my first attempt taking video on my Canon 7D. Without continuous auto-focus, it's not easy to just run the video and move about as with most events.

Definitely need a tripod/steadicam/monopod...

7D for me, love it.
The extra "chip" doesn't makes much of a difference if you put videos shot by both cameras together.

And 5D is definitely not gonna be as useful until 24/25p comes out.
