Canon 5D mark II price

oops i forgot. yah so far only Alan photo and Orient Photo in SLS is recommended.
I will never recommend Alan photo. In SLS or Funan. Service sucks IMO. Not to mention the hard sell techniques they use sometimes.

I just got one @ Wing Shing in HK (Mongkok) for HK$16.9k (roughly S$2,875).

In Singapore, recommend the guys at SLR Revolution @ Funan. Nice guys and good price.

no idea... my friend mention to me he felt that camera had been used before cos when he first on his cam, the prompt to enter date/time is not there and already got a date/time set.

Mine was new, had to input the date and time as well. Speaking of which, I realisednthat even if we delete the settings and revert back to factory settings, date and time will always be there. So anyway, give stores a chance and surprisingly song bros surprised me very well. In addition it doesn't mean that big stores is good. I went to purchase a bag, but I wasn't sure if the bag could fit the lens and the camera, what the shop guy did was to open up a brand new lens from it's packaging, and also a new camera, fix it together and he fit into the bag for me tomshow it fits, excellent customer service but am wondering if I knew that those lens and camera hasnalready been opened and handled, I wouldn't want to buy them would I? And they are L lens that were taken out of it's packaging.

I am totally puzzled by such behavior. Are you buying the lens to use or keep in a museum? BTW, it is possible to still pack the lens back like it was never open before. So would that stop you from buying lenses from shops in Singapore? If the L lens will degrade by coming out of the box and be fitted on a camera....then better don't buy that lens....not worth, it degrade upon opening it and meeting a camera body.

Thanks for all the input. I ll check the shops recommended..and compare prices...

I checked it out at SITEX today but the price was 3599...so much diff compared to the quote 3169 from Alan..If Hongkong cheaper..I'll get it from there....as long as warranty available..shd nt be an issue, I guess.

hmmm.nice..do you have international warranty for it?

bodies has no international warranty, only local.

Buying from HK doesn't comes wif intl warranty if i'm not wrong.. so abit risky.. i tink buy from msia betta.. price abt the same as HK n best, it comes wif 3 yrs canon warranty.. anything wrong juz bring back to jb.. rather than bring back to hk... :) but lens hk price still the best..

Hmm..ya..any recommended shop in jb?
