I thought the 1200mm f/5.6 was bad enough... this is one hell of a lens i must say... what was it actually used for?

used for sniping people's pimples from the other side of the island

5200mm plus my crop multiplier 8000++mm.. thats what i call long range...

Hanor. Can use for next F1. Stay at home and shoot.

But not EF mount, so have AF?

This lens can never 'backfocus'.. it has no AF ;) FD mount lenses did not have them except for a couple of experimental AF units.

So if it backfocuses, it must be the operator :D

I think the mount on your body will break if you try lifting this up.. assuming you have successfully mounted it on ur cam.

Got come with lens hood?

Capable of taking photos of object 18-32 miles (28.9km to 51.4km)

Marathon Photography anyone :think: ??:bsmilie::bsmilie:

If use with a 20/30/40/50D, it becomes 8300mm! From Changi, can shoot Jurong.

model must stand min 20KM away for portrait shoot.

you lift the lens first then talk. the body will come naturally. 100kg leh.

LOL

This is the only ultra-telephoto lens in the world capable of taking photographs of objects 18 to 32 miles away (30km to 52kms away).

this is one BIG reason why you need a DSLR (following the thread in kopitiam)... :bsmilie:

din even know canon makes such a thing. i thot their 1200mm/5.6L was their biggest... this makes the sigma 200-500/2.8 look like a wimp... ;p

1200 is biggest EF lens i believe..

Does the wheels comes with the standard package, or must buy seperately? and does third party sell a compatible hood or filter? (the round glass coffee table in my bedroom start to look suitable to be used a filter)

Any olympic weight lifters who might be interested in photography?

Actually the lens is "only" 100kg. Most people could probably lift it for awhile :sweatsm:
