I thought the 1200mm f/5.6 was bad enough... this is one hell of a lens i must say... what was it actually used for?

This lens can never 'backfocus'.. it has no AF
FD mount lenses did not have them except for a couple of experimental AF units. So if it backfocuses, it must be the operator
Seems that some are under the impression it is a joke lens... I dug up some docs I remember from a while back.

you lift the lens first then talk. the body will come naturally. 100kg leh.

1200 is biggest EF lens i believe..
this one u gotta mount your body on the lens, not mount the lens on the body.. haha

Actually the lens is "only" 100kg. Most people could probably lift it for awhile :sweatsm:
