Wah dream setup man!

ok lah, I am getting addicted to 1D4 than 5D3.. the handling of 1D4 is just awesome, especially for someone like me who shoots quite some verticals. :embrass:

I need to get a copy for this for my 1D4

The version II is out but slightly longer and slimmer for the barrel and also slightly cheaper. Though the II is sharper, but only obvious when u do 100% crop.

I still prefer mine for handling and built.

When the battery grip arrives for the 5Diii, think you may switch. Or better still, rhe 1DX!

eh I think 1D series still better, because of the vertical grip is closer to body, and it's integrated - compared to the single screw of the grip. weight distribution is better thus better handing feel

and I don't print money lah.. 1DX is too pricey for me.. my 1D4 is a Indonesia set, a little bit more ex than 5D3 only.. 1DX I can only dream :bsmilie:

yup, in fact I like the 1.3x crop, it's like FOC 1.4x extender (without the aperture penalty) ;p

I'm just afraid APS-H may get extinct (unless 7D2 upgrades to APS-H), so this body may become an antique 20 years later :bsmilie:

Hoho... My birding friends loves their 1D4 man! Normally see them bringing out their bazookas (600-800mm) and shooting with the very big tripods and such. I feel tired for them man! Haha...

Actually 20years later all our cameras will be antiques! :P

yup, your 70-200 with 2x extender will make it 520mm f/5.6 or f/8 at it's longest end, good enough for some general wildlife :)
