Hi all,

Believe many of you guys here would have these lenses...

The "dream lens" in the market now is approx 3 to 4 times the cost of the f1.2 LTM. Some sites do say both uses similar optical formulas and from shots of the f1.2 version, you can see signatures of the "dream lens".

Just keen to view your views on the pretty unique lens. :D

I personally heard alot of gd feedbacks on canon 50mm f1.4

So far I've loved the images I saw on the .95 Canon. Initially, wanted to replace my Canon 50 1.2 with the noct but decided to keep both. The wild bokeh on the Canon wide open is lovely!!! I've always enjoyed those I took with that lens. Only problem is this lens develop haze easily.

Dream lens block alot of VF. I regard it as a novelty special purpose lens, not a everyday carry around lens. I dun deny dream lens is good fun and the bokeh is nice. You can see some samples posted in this forum before. Its certainly a lens u can consider if u are someone looking for arthouse pic

Pity the mod for the 0.95 is destructive and non reversible.

I share this sentiment with zixaw!
If you're going to get one, get one that is already "destroyed", please do not get one that's still in original condition unless you want to use it with the matching Canon body.

Canon 50mm 0.95 is overrated. Muted colors unless post processed. It's no longer the fastest 50mm RF lens as it's been recently equaled by Leica. No point buying. Move on...

It is cheap for a f/0.95 though. I think you can get a good one for 3 to 4K, about half the price of a used f/1 Noc.

I almost spring for a very mint looking set today for S$4K. But no rear lens cap. Then sanity prevailed. Heng ah!

Cheers,

hmm..

some people might totally disagree with my thoughts but shooting digital and post-processing to me gives these lens a new lease of life I feel.

pretty captured by the way the f0.95 draws the bokeh.. will see if sanity stays with me for long.

Seems like the F1.2 version is not very popular here eh..

Dear Benny, allow me to share your point.

I believe the second comment is from Benny the ultimate collector, nothing to do with how bad the lens is.

That's Canon-fetishism. Can only be from Benny.:bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie:
I must apologize for being the cause of it. Sorry, Benny.:embrass:

Both the f/0.95 and the f/1.2 have the same design? No? Wonder why one would be more more popular than the other.
