Canon 450D - Should I buy the kit or just the body?

Hi Sumo,

I've just bought the 450 with kit at about $1200, less than 3 weeks ago.

It is my 1st SLR, and i've fallen in love with photography.

As such, i would like to buy a 50D or even FF. As my concern is to prevent unneccessary expenditure on lenses downstream. Decided to buy the new body and keep it for good.

About to advertise on the seller thread, but what the heck, I'll sell it to you with the full kit, bag and whatever i've received + 14.5mths of warranty to go with it at $1000 nett.

Save the money and buy better lens.

If you want to take pictures of your kid, the 45oD + 50/1.8 combi is more than good enough.

I take alot of pictures of kids in church and at church events, and you could see how they turn out. all pictures here (www.flickr.com/mistersim) are taken with the 50/1.8. Though I'm still learning, they make it so much easier to pick up..heh..

Are you refering to 2nd hand body and lens?

Yes, you should be able to get both 50mm f1.4 and 400D second hand in the BnS forum, 1K is possible.
