Canon 400D or Nikon D80

IMHO, a battery grip for a D80 is only very useful for taking portraits-wise photography.

If you already like the D80's feel in your hands w/o the additional grip, spend the money elsewhere, it is not dat necessary. The battery life of D80 is VERY good, I'm able to take 600++shots with a 70-200VR whilst the battery level only dropped 30%...

If you die die need more battery power, get a 3rd party ENL3e from company like Eastgear.

And in case you really do get a battery grip, it is not advisable to use a 3rd party batt together with your original batt.

thanks, was quoted $2630 by Orient Photo for 3 items, D80 body, 18-200mm VR lens and batt grip. Is it reasonable?
