Canon 30D price Drop

I just came back from OSAKA 1mth and I found out that their price for 30D has drop to S$1380.
If anyone happens to go Osaka, its in Den Den Electronic Street and the Shop name is "SoftMap" its 3 store next to a 4 level 100yen shop.
(theres 2 100 yen shop in Den Den Street, one is 2 level there other is 4 level)

And I though that this kind of price can only be found in Japan, till I talk to a guy in one of the camera shop in Singapore, and he told me that he just bought one 30D in Singapore ( a Grey set).
And I believe that its really, cos if Osaka is selling at that price, He can also get a 30D at $1380 in Spore.
But too bad I had too leave cos my crying baby is waiting for me in the car and I did not get a chance to ask him where in Spore did he bought it from

HONG KONG price is now HKD7,280 at Wing Shing (HK's Cathay)

That is S$1,410-1,440 depending on how you pay/change $$$.

Not much more than Osaka !!

Maybe if not Japan will not sell at this kind of price. but no news of a 30D replacement yet.

After a 30D ... I guess the next sensible progression should be 5D ... I seriously doubt anyone would waste money to go from 30D to 40D ?
