Canon 24-105 L +Sigma 35mm F1.4 OR Canon 24-70 L Mll?

Thanks bro but slowly moving to prime setup now and completely understand your situation as I'm serving NS as well ;)

i more than gladly to take the lenses of your hands ;) btw, what lens did yo use in your food shots in your flickr? 24-70?

Well my 24-70 is still available if you're interested to buy it off my hands ;)

Yup some of the food shots were taken with the 24-70. Like some of the CSers have mentioned about the focal length compression, so really see what you want to achieve.

IMHO the 24-105 would be a better general purpose lens, used to own one and kinda miss it due to the weight and versatility as compared to the 24-70(of course you will lose a stop but kind of compensates with the IS and with the 6D ISO capability)

Anyway either lens you wouldn't go wrong, guess you'll have to keep playing around with different lenses to know which one would suit you best.
Hope this helps! :)

Cheers!

HAHA would love to but not in my budget now. Yup, getting the 24-105 first. Hoping to add a 35mm F1.4 soon. Most probably a Sigma version instead of the canon L.

you may wish to consider getting a eg 28-105 f3.5-4.5 USM, especially the Mk 1 version.

fast quiet AF, nearly L in terms of build quality and Optic performance. it's also faster than 24-105 f4 in terms of aperture, over the wider focal lengths.

coincidentally I am selling one such lens. canon stopped building these because they were eating up the L market. At $330 it is very much more comparatively affordable for almost the same quality. Just add a red rubber band...

This 28-105 f3.5-4.5 USM Mk1 also does better in image quality than 24-85 mm (see online reviews). I kid you not...
