Canon 1D selling at IT Show for $9999

Sad thing about DIGITAL CAMERAs is, the technology will always be improved upon..better resolution..etc etc. What is $9999 for 6 megapixel will be nothing with next years $9999 8 megapixel,100% picture ratio camera's..

Think real hard Mr Willy Foo.

Another thing is if PROs switch to digital then surely the cost of SILVER HALIDE's will rise..

so sad...

Definitely!!! That's the well-known 18 month half life of technology. But then... in 18 months time.. you will face the same situation... so when do you decide to get one???

I've been thinking more than really hard ...

That doesn't mean I'll get the 1D straight... I'll only get it if I can find a business justification for it...

Hi

i saw the EOS 1D for real, for the first time today, with the EF 16-35 f2.8L attached to it. i think it's potentially one of my biggest mistakes in life, to look at one.

That was 4 hours ago at the time of writing.

i'm still thinking about it now

I saw it during seed... one guy was being shown the 1D by the CP staff... then the next day... I saw the $9999 one at the IT Show...

somemore $9999 for the body only ah..no lens no nuts.
