Hey guys I came across a video on youtube (split in 3 parts) about how Canon lenses are made .. starting from the powder the melt down .. to the fully assembled lens (in this case the 500mm f/4L IS USM) .. pretty interesting to watch and puts into perspective what you pay for in those lenses.
Of course bear in mind that they are assembling the parts for a VERY expensive L lens. So for the cheaper lens like the 50mm f/1.8 there might be less hand-assembly but still very impressive the amount of work that needs to be done.

I have been to Punggol end once to guide some newbies in taking sunset and night photography. But we were only situated at the jetty. :dunno:

btw guys, the only bus to punggol end is bus service number 82.
i think it starts from serangoon interchange...
To make things easy, i suggest we meet at sengkang compasspoint.. 1530hrs.
And honestly speaking, there are many places which we can go at punggol end. i don't think we can cover all the areas. i suggest we plan our mode of attack first.
ardaan, have you been to punggol end before? it would be great if you know the place. As for me, i went there a few times, but forgot the places which i normally go...:sticktong
