can dynax5 take infra-red photography?

saw some infra-red pictures over photo magazines, they are really wonderful & unique!

heard that only certain camera bodies can be used for infra-red photography.
so, can my humble dynax 5 take infra-red photography? :bigeyes:

Just tape up the rear window, and you're all set!

oic, u mean the film window right? tape with black tape? will the automatic DX coding cause some light leak into the film?

btw, i think ur avatar is shot using IR film? am i correct?

He shot it with IR Filter, using a SLR-liked Minolta digital camera... (kepo kepo ;p )

In a film camera, would a IR filter alone do? or would i need IR film as well?

even dynax 7 cannot take IR films leh...the film counter emits an IR ray to count sprocket holes....will fog films....cameras like dynax 9, 700si they can lah....mechanical counter using encoders...

will show you all on the next meeting the diff between the two.....

btw, what IR filter did u use on Dimage 7? maybe i can try taking one using my fujifilm.

Or a digital camera with the IR portion of the CCD enabled.... so far only SONY digicams are able to do it with little mod to the camera via software I think.... others is a hit and miss affair.... I'm not holding my breath for the 7D to be able to do IR...

Lao Shi.....films camera and digital are not the same....

Ileaf.....FYI, almost pro specs camera like 700si can do IR photography...there is one unit in TCW with 28-105 f 3.5-4.5 lens...price not bad leh....

I agree, and $400 for body and grip is a very good deal. I remember I can't get a 2nd hand grip, bought a new one for about $220+-, 3 years ago.

Ileaf, even $600+ is quite a good deal with the lens. I remember I bought this lens also 4 years ago at Mustafa...
