Like I said, I agreed that lines should have been removed. Other than that, I don't see any issues with the creativity DI work from the original 2 pictures. Please keep your "my SAD photos and I am deluded" comments to yourself. I have no respect for people like you. From your comments, you have failed to segregate personal insults and constructive comments from my works. My ideas may not work for you, but that doesn't give you any right to insult me. I am glad I work in this commercial industry where I have not met people like you. It's sad and a disgrace to the industry.

Personal insult? OMG, you are thin skinned.

Nevermind, your preoperative, if you cannot comprehend what I said and to what I as directing the comment towards.

Good luck to you as a commercial photographer.

Haha, thanks for the interesting comments. If everyone goes for the the off-the-shelf portraiture with the soft dreamy effect, nice colours, prime and proper, then there will not be any breakthrough to speak. Everyone's point of view differs vastly from what others perceive. And I am glad the comments are coming, cause it made an impact despite the thousands of portraiture threads here! :bsmilie:

I agree that I should perhaps remove the lines on her tummy. And to appeased the many "hobbyist and layman that can see that those pics are ones that no one will even post up for people to see" as what scandal599 mentioned, nothing that DI can't do:

So many hobbyist here, boring... why not start an attitude and lead your own style! ;)

second pic, even after your improved DI, her chest area looks like it came from a cadaver. greenish. same as the initial DI

Thin skinned? Again, you have proven my point of your rudeness. It's ok, your preoperative too, if you cannot comprehend what I said and to what I as directing the comment towards.

Good luck to you as deadpoet here.

Both #2 and #3 I was going to ask had Cammy just recovered from an operation.

They both look like a scar, and if you call it a "creative style" why not then DI the whole body and call it "zombie glam"?

One man's meat is another man's poison and to each his own but to say that your pictures
are often being 'leeched'........geezus ! who'll wanna do that.

Camy has some uneven skin patches on her chest, my bad, I didn't process that area. Thanks.

Seriously, I think making it "zombie glam" is a great idea! But then again, looking at the comment's here, mainstream stuff is safer huh? Well I mentioned in post#19, I agree that the lines should be removed. Thanks.

Well, you have the answer to your quote from your own quote, "one man's meat is another man's poison and to each his own". Read around the forum and you should be able to read about a forumer's work being presented to potential clients as the service provider's own, and it was ultimately discovered.

You don't see money in rubbish, doesn't mean a garang guni man doesn't see gold in things that you don't want.

Relax lah people. I think sometimes people are overly critical and others are overly sensitive. Lets not make it worse.

Anyway I think that apart from the pictures and the comments, I just don't quite see this girl as model material. Maybe she's trying too hard sometimes, and that results in her doe-eyed looks (which, if you look throughout her pictures, it's quite the same throughout.. not appealing). I guess you did the best you could with that...

Everyone take a chill-pill.

I mentioned on another thread about this girl having only 1 expression (doe-eyed look) and I got slammed for being a n00b in this forum. Sigh...

Eh. I agree with you anyway. to me though she always looks terrified. :P

Everyone just has to relax and take a large spoonful of salt... we have to face it... critising is so much easier then praising here la... and we will def get the occasional jacka$$ trying to be a wise guy whether he's a new member, member or senior member. It's just a forum man... if u like what u see n read then u come in everyday if not then go out la kopi and bitch about this forum lo hahahaha

I don't do potrait but I have seen many terrible shots with over the top PS. All will agree, these will qualify.

It looks like you have done some kind of bleach bypass and tonal contrast PS plugin that bring out too much details. I preceive the treatment to be not appropriate for these shot. But if you consider this to be some kind of breakthrough. I will not argue. As long it makes u happy.

Actually, many CS photogs here work in the commercial industry. And so far, the agreement is that your pictures are a disgrace to the industry.

Well I guess IT'S all rubbish then.

The local photography fraternity has to make up its own standards. so do the local modeling industry (so far is very bad).
Standard is something that is generally accepted, not everyone his own standard.

deadpoet and some others are critical indeed and it's an opportunity to pick up the comments for improvement. Don't take it negative.
it is sad if no one wants to comment.

first things first....i suggest you replace pics 2 and 3 with the edited ones to save camy further embarrassment.

From a noob's point of view, do accept ppl's comments in here, be it positive or negative.

Even though if you perceive your works differently, maybe accepting their comments may blend in with yours and create better works?

think apart from the output, taking into consideration the model's feelings is also impt, as i believe many other photographers may or may not invite her based on the works posted here...

:)

IMHO I don't think Fallen produced bad shots, I feel the chick's smile is very natural in 3, without being overtly contrived. Some chicks in budget photoshoots can't even pull off a proper smile without hints that they are on a daily Omeprazole dose. There is room for improvement, certainly not magazine standard worthy but they aren't bad eitha.

To the guys asking others to chill and not contributing to the discussion, I feel royally embarrassed for you.

the second one could be nice save for the lousy post processing, I would like to see the original photo.
