Camera stuffs in Japan

i just returned from Japan too! didn't hear of MapCAmera but did go to Yodobashi Akiba (at Akihabara Station from Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line)

some stuff cheaper there i guess, bot a Canon speedlite 430EX flash @ ~S$360

saw the EOS Kiss 2 (450D) launched there, cheapest body price is around 84,800 yen, converts to around S$1145 (at conversion rate 135)... is that cheap?

I went to the Akiba Yodobashi as well. Was checking out the Slik 614 CF Pro. Price about S$480. When I checked with CP earlier, the sales guy said should cost about $400 so it was more ex in Japan.

My guess is if the stuff is made in Thailand and then shipped back to Singapore it will be more expensive.
