hi,
for the Matin joint type with the metal ring, is there any way to prevent the ring to scratch the camera surface after hooking up the ring to the collar of your camera ? thx :)

i used the optech one for over a year, it's comfortable and i was quite happy with it. then i got the matin one... even nicer! the material and design just feel better...

i use the ring with my D7 coz there's eyelets for me to hook them to.
I removed the ring for my D5D and use the straps directly instead.

Same as the rest... that is how the Optech strap is attached as well... via the straps using the eyelets on the camera body.

i used to use the Op/Tech, till I bought the Matin from perly and sold off my optech few weeks later

must be a good product.. is the Classic one having longer Neoprene material then the Joint one ?

i removed the rings from the matin strap when attached to my 5d too. no worries :)

Ok, i'm thinking of getting the Matin Camera Strap from Perly.. but it comes in straight or curved strap..
which one is better? i've been using the Minolta Stock strap and it cuts into ur neck when i have a long lens mounted.
thanks

Curved strap is better if u prefer to hang the camera around your neck. Shoulder strap should be straight for it to sit flat on the shoulder blade but curve means it will be less likely to slip off. Personal preference; no right or wrong.
