anyone care to share where in Tokyo is equivalent to our Peninsular area? where the second hand camera dealers are?

hoping to find some Leica stuffs over there. and how's the prices there? will there also be tax refunds for such purchases?

some reliable ones or one that you have deal with before will be preferred.

Do visit this shops called oboki at akihabara.

It's a film shops with leicas for sale.

Rather easy to find, just south of the akihabara metro station.

There are also alot of electronics and camera shops on the entire streets of akihabara

hey that's great thanks for the tips ;D

oh yes how's the price compared to local?

Try this. I've checked some out while I was there. Prices there are , plus with exchange rate now it's gonna cost you a fair bit. But I think it's because their condition is good, easily EX+. If you looking for cosmetically good, I'm sure there are plenty of choices. :)

thanks jimbo for the informative site. :)

Shops just weren't moving enough inventory so prices have dropped a lot in Japan over the last six months or so. You may find good deals even with the strong yen. Good luck!

its nice to hear that...

From that list, I have been to Map Camera and Kimura. Map Camera is really good and comprehensive, service is good and it's TAX FREE! (Actually I think a lot are... bring passport).

But prices for Leica are stiff... but conditions as stated by earlier is so good.

Anyway, if you are looking for second hand Leica, Medium Format, actually any camera, Map is pretty comprehensive...
