If they dunno that you know the boss, they see "carrot" in front of them. The names I mentioned are all long time staff there. THose not mentioned = new = dunno I know boss+lady boss, so if they give me a price, I will trun round n then ask "best price or not?" then dun buy if feel price not right. But I normally call b4 I go down.

end of the day, i think to be safe, just ask for an equote beforehand.

There is a clause in the equote that states that I the price is based on cash and excludes GST, even so I find that getting a equote usually provides the best price. So get one before going down.

I was quoted by the saleman (S11) at 940(!) for the Canon 100mm macro, he reduced it to 830 after I insist he checked the price file again. Went to AMK hub, price offered to me was 820. Checked my equote when I got home, price was less than 800....

If I am not wrong, the EQUOTE is being replied by the lady boss. Therefore, it would be cheaper.

Thats right, for me, the price of the Equote after including GST is still below 800...that was why i went back to the shop with the equote to place the order.
