I know there is alot threads on this, but its all so messy.

Anybody knows a local agency that can cover camera equipment Both <6 mths (e.g NTUC) and >6 mths?

AXA smarthome . insure your home contents and you can have worldwide cover for items outside the house.

ie:I've currently signed up/signing up for my new home, the premium is roughly $110/annum + worldwide cover for stuff outside home = $120 per $10,000 cover.

so that's roughly $230/year for me.

if you want the contact of my insurance broker, please pm me.

Already have home insurance :(
Just need a 'policy' to cover camera equpiment.
It seems hardly any out there.

curious what are the specific terms and conditions of such cover?

If you have home insurance, good for you. Just get an extension to your home insurance cover. It covers loss of equipment outside the home NOT due to negligence (as far as I know). If you need to know more, PM me.

suggest that reading the fine print for the home insurence cover - if I'm not wrong there is a cap on value of claim per item - its normally under a 1000 and of course there is that question of market value at point of damage or loss or theft. Very iffy when it comes time to squeeze money out of them was the opinion I got after reading. In fact for home insurence if you read the fine print its a little of a rip off.

There are special policies for camera equipment cover for trade purposes but the premiums are some what stiff - might be worht it if u are in biz but then a lot of full timers do not insure.
