Folks, I am currently using the Billingham L2 (Billingham own version of the Leica Combination bag made by them) for the following:

M8 with lens attached
M3 with lens attached
1 spare lens
3-4 rolls of films
Sekonic light meter
Torch lights
Blower

Thinking of getting the Hadley Large to put my 15" Macbook pro and maybe a 5Dm2 with lens without grip. Do you think that's the best options?

Any suggestions? I don't want something too big cos' that will defeat the whole purpose of using a Rangefinder system for size. Of course, it would be good if I can at least carry my DSLR and one M at times when I need the flexibility. I already got a Lowpro Flipside 400 but that's too bulky to walkabout if I just need 1 DSLR and 1 M bodies.

Saw the new 207 and 307. The material is very nice but can't put a laptop inside. Laptop is not a must but since I do not have a laptop bag right now for my Macbook. I can use it as a "reason" to justify getting another camera bag. Hehe...

Since we're on this topic. Please post the bags you're using and if got pics even betta!!! I know there's a similar post in another thread, but would like this thread to be specific to RF users.

Here's mine when it was spanking new. Posing with my R4s and ex-MP. I love the classic look and the greater depth on this bag.

I think Hadley Pro is your best bet. But then again, it will not fit your 15". My mac is a 13"

It is big enough for laptop and slr cameras but small enough for street.

I bought it with me for street shooting in Tokyo and Istanbul. Serve me very well.

Bro, u do know by enquiring "what to buy?" in this manner is equally poisonous..
good luck to those whom have not thought about getting more gears previously
but just received new ideas fm u.. :D

Good luck to yr next purchase.

I prefer small compact bags for my camera gear.

Previously used Domke F2, too big, then tried out the Domke F5XB, didnt quite like the design. Sold them all.

Currently am using the Artisan & Artist Torpedo Bag, nice compact bag to be carrying around. Fits RF, lenses & my other barang nicely.

I've got a Billingham 225 as well, slightly bigger but seldom use, too many compartments to open before reaching my gear.

So what bag do you have and what's in your bag bro?

I believe that's a Zhou case.

wow then he's significantly improved his materials, design, and stitching.

i'll still stick with all of my LeicaTime cases. they fit perfectly and haven't popped any seams with heavy use.

I'm using a heringbone insert with a cheap adidas bag. I bought the insert quite cheap in Seoul (<usd$15) but quality is not bad, as good as another A&A insert i bought from Mr Phillip Tay (sgd$100).

The insert allows me to carry 1 rf body + lens, 1 rolleiflex and 1 more extra lens in any bag. That is more than enough for me. And i believe that my old/cheap bag catches less people 's attention.

Do u really want to bring so many thing with you (laptop, dslr...)? For me, I want as light as possible.

Herringbone large, i prefer a harder leather over canvas, but i am usually too lazy to change lens, so i will decide on only 1 lens & dump everything else in my car & just shoot with 1 lens for the day. Now pls dont break into my car for the other lenses.. anyway herringbone large cant contain all your gears, mine just three lens & a camera.

Cheers.

Pics please!

I want the flexibility. Will still use the L2 mainly but want to use something larger when I need to. I've been wanting to get a nice laptop bag anyway. Hehe... That's what i will tell my wife.

Really like the artist & artisan bags - but wish they had a carrying handle instead of just the shoulder strap...

Usually stuff that go into the bag, still got some space for other barang like ipod, wallet etc.

Hi ZoomP, just my opinion, I don't think u will like to lug around heavy load shooting. It will just kill your passion and momentum. I don't think u are shooting for work, if it is for passion, just carry one camera, or perhaps two RF bodies if u are shooting different film type or digital in one small RF bag like the Billingham u already have. Too cumbersome to shoot with too many cameras around the neck. Unless u are on assignment oversea and you want to carry along all your equipments (notebook, DSLR, RF, lenses, etc...) in a hand carry luggage, then a larger bag like what u mentioned will be fully justified. Hehe...in exchange, just get her a Chanel 2.55...:bsmilie:

I find that sometimes I want to carry more lens and the M8 n M3 get a bit tight in the L2. Don't necessary mean I will always carry a laptop, a DSLR and two M bodies with me all the time. I just want the flexibility when I need it. Like I said earlier, I will still use my L2 mainly for quick walkabout.

I've pretty much decided on the Billingham Hadley Large which will double as my laptop bags. Sometimes, I need to help shoot for some events at work. This bag will come in handy more than my L2. I can bring 2 M bodies and 1 DSLR comfortably while leaving space for all other barang barang.

Hehe...there are always bag for different purpose...like the ladies...we can never satisfy with just one camera bag...I have more than 5 and still not enough... ...found my wife's old Prada classic messenger bag lying around no longer in use...the complete insert from Billingham "Hardey Small" fits neatly inside this bag...I gave this bag a new life...
