Wild thought:

Following Zaren and Acromatic's suggestion, I think it's a great idea.

Are we all working people here? Hmmm.... maybe after we do the shoot, we can exhibit our "works" in the school, then hold a photo contest for CJC students in that theme as well.

What say we chip in and give the winner a...... camera bag or something... :dunno:

Methink its a good idea too.
Stick to our alma mater's motto of "In Truth and In Love" - nice theme.
For prizes maybe can chip in for a gift voucher or a bag - yeah, can do.

Everyone okay with the theme In Truth and In Love?

And how's Vesak Day (Wed 2 June) for everyone?

Shall we see how our outing goes, and discuss the possiblity of the exhibition and competition then? We might have to go on more than one outing. It's great that we're aiming high!

How about meeting up during the upcoming seed and discuss this in detail. I think Bro Paul would welcome the idea if we brought it up to him. Very feasible idea.

Hmmm... can't make it for the coming SEED cos friend's birthday celebration. But it will be good to discuss the idea through before going to see Brother Paul.

No worries about the sponsorship for the prize... if it is just an exhibition we dun need to sponsor any prize unless the college wanted it as a contest with the student's participation.

Great... looks like we starting somewhere.

Is there anyone from the latest batch (Class of 2003)? We probably need you to be the middleman since you're perhaps the most in-tuned person amongst the old birds.

Prob need to talk to Bro Paul w.r.t the operations of the exhibitions?

For prizes (if there is ever a need), I don't think we need to worry about it too much for now. I'm sure with alumni participation, sponsorship shouldn't be a huge issue. For that, does anyone have any connections with the alumni club?

Also need to check: Is there a darkroom in CJC?

I think it would be better to write officially to Bro Paul, introducing ourselves and detailing our plans as well as the suggested operations. It would also be good to highlight any educational benefit this initiative will bring to the students. He can then assign the teacher-in-charge of the CJC Photography Club to liase with us about the details. This letter can be jointly signed by us, perhaps at one of the SEEDs or outings.

Do contact me (direct or thru munn or poledra) if there's any firm intentions and plans. I'm sure Br Paul would be glad for alumni contribution.

The CJ Multimedia Club just had our first photo exhibition this week in the foyer outside the library.

We have a cheap enlarger (no filtration) for 35mm. Basic reels, trays, tongs etc.
