BTW I am still working on the proposal I spoke about during our 1st meeting...been a hectic week...so hang in there a bit longer guys :dunno:

finally fixed at 4+am.
get one XP Service Pack 2 CD standby ready just in case.
oh, on the exhibition idea mooted at the meet. My photos only barely passable, definitely way below exhibition standard ( a fact, and not false modesty). So I will give it a pass and admire others' photos which may be exhibited later.

Hi Guys
OK made some progress finally....so sorry...I hope no one turned blue waiting! I am proposing that the group meet again this Sunday, maybe 2pm this time and I am thinking of Little India for the first installment. Allow me to explain the "first installment". Over the next 10 Sundays (not everybody would be able to make all 10, hence the available 10 chances), we will choose one spot per Sunday so that everybody can fan out to take photos of that locale. Everyone makes their own decision on what kind of film to use but all work must be done on a Hasselblad. All selected works will be given to Epson (working on it) for printing and mounting. Later we will decide on the number of works to be selected for the exhibition and the type & size of those prints but it is still early times. Everyone takes care of their own expenses, including films, contact sheets printing, etc but I will make every effort to find sponsors for the final print for the exhibition. There will be no competition amongst us per say, however, we will, through a secret ballot, select amongst ourselves (peer selection) the best works to showcase. I was telling John that no amount of politicking will stumble us as a good pic is a good pic, pure and simple. Also there will be no prizes, just a satisfaction that we will have contributed to the promotion of a unique MF camera. Again any subject matter, any types of films but only one type of camera ie a HASSELBLAD. So is Little India at 2pm in front of Mustapha ok? In case someone has a better idea....shoot!

ps: unless I am wrong, 10 weeks of shooting should produce some very good shots. BTW one helpful hint = I will propose that 40% of the judging criteria will be on whether the pic shows out the quality of a VH camera and CZ lens

I have an extra 500CM and some lens that I can loan to someone who is thinking of going into MF but would first like to try out the VH camera but understand that this person must be under my constant supervision :think: So any takers so far for this Sunday's shoot?

so far I am only getting one confirmation and so it seems this Sunday is bad. OK if there are no takers this Sunday . The Sunday after that unfortunately I will be busy but following that, perhaps we can organize an overnight trip to the Kelong in Bintang. It is a reall rustic place, and cost only $23.00 per night aircon in a real Kelong. Very very nice place with lots of photo opportunities plus fishing and Indonesian food. Highly recommended.
