I joined them since 2006 w a infinity lifetime membership. Have benefited from it, workout regularly n lost 18kg within 1st year. Then maintained for e next 2 years...until got gf in 08, married and have childr3n. So end 2012. I forgot abt e membership renewal (in fact, renewed 2011 n 2012 but never went. ) then decide to renew in june 2013 cos I quit my job n got time.

They told me my membership expired n cannot be renewed. Cos I must pay $8 fee if don wanna renew when due.

Read online many kena same trick by them. So beware!
Although I have gained much n become healthier since I joined them.., their treatment is no acceptable. Not a single form of renewal notice is sent out to remind members (many believe this is how they try to get rid of lifetime members..)

So if u r one of those. ..remember to renew o time on ur own accord!

doesn't affect me. i'd rather discipline myself by working out at home :)

I got free gym membership at SAF FCC with personal trainers around. Every year can get $200 to $400 as rebate.

You think by deleting your original thread you'll get more pity points? Please lah, if anything you just made yourself a bigger target for ridicule.

i remembered posting something along the lines to working out at home, so i'll discipline myself instead of paying so that i'll force myself to utilize the membership

Quote first for evidence, in case California Fitness wants to take legal action against you.

How much did you pay for your lifetime membership?

If your membership is "lifetime" then according to the description, it cannot expire unless you die.

If you do not want to renew your so-called "lifetime" membership, you have to pay $8?
Why pay when you don't want something?
By the way, if they charge you only $8 per year for renewal of your so-called "lifetime" membership, that is ridiculously cheap.

Why married men wants to go gym? Thot it is a place to meet like minded singles?

Sorry very poor, got no money go to California Fitness....... So your thread don't apply to me. :(
