C5050 - what's REALLY in the package?

i wen wif my gf the other day to ask arnd about the oly c5050 and a canon pro90. at cathay, the quote they give is 1260 -- and can claim the oly promo for 1$ dry cabinet, but they sell the asia pacific package -- meaning no ir remote nor batt charger.

then we went to alan and they quote us 1290, but cannot claim the 1$ promo, however their package includes the battery charger and the infrared remote!! i tot mebbe they got greay markt one, but they said got warranty lah!!

how come ah? did oly anyhow change their packaging ah? which one is official olympus store huh?

the remote and battery charger should be included in the package/box

Correction, both the Remote Control and Batt Charger are not standard in the package.

AP includes both items as a special bundle by as their sale gimmick.

according to the website above it states that the battery charger and remote control is supplied/included.

well.. maybe singapore set of 5050z doesnt have them in the box

i notice during the wedding planner shooting day, your gf was using one right? does the box states that they are included or not?

asian Oly AAs cams NEVER give charger nor nimh.. US give the bu40 or bu20 for some models... the IR is new to me... rm1 or rm2?

Yeah, that's the C-5050Z, in the package list, there isn't a Remote Control nor the Charger. However, due to sale promotion, I got the Charger @ FOC. But not the Remote Control. Both my E20 & C-5050Z shared the same Remote Control.

got RM1 which is the old zoom and shutter model, RM2 is the free one with mju 300, shutter only...
and compatible for all IR Olys
anyway the official prices of Oly xD cards have dropped 50%...
256meg is $225 MSRP, so anyone can tell me what's the street price?
