I know infrared images specially with false colors are still new to peoples eyes, and my editing usually consists of multi-colored foliage and exaggerated hues and saturation. I have shot a lot of infrareds in Coron because i want to experiment with colors and composition.

Just want to share more infrared images with different treatments and moods.

Sharing another shot taken in Calambuyan Island. This was taken a few minutes before the rain started to pour...

i like the color fish photo, i wonder if anyone else noticed, but there is placement of a different colored fish on the bottom right third, it is subtle but it works for me.

crimson dusk is very nicely done, i am wishing the branch would be below the horizon, but i understand how it is that sometimes we are limited by perspective and height

the latest portraits are not oversaturated now. :)

Mare,

Thanks for the kind words... Really didnt have the option of putting the branch below the horizon. Hehe...

Cloud formations in Coron are really spectacular. One cannot miss a single day without the grandeur of gigantic cloud formations headed straight for you. I took this image as the tides were rushing against the shore, which warns us of the upcoming rain showers ahead....

The sunset hues of Coron varies everyday. One cannot expect not to see an awesome display of tones and hues. Changing by the minute, and sometimes only by seconds. Till now, i still cant believe i have experienced the "Golden Hours" of Coron.

I enjoyed your images posted..

very good capture and most of it falls into favourite.

 for you!

 Love these ... how I wish I had my ND110 now!

Thanks Dude. I used the B+W ND106 for the first shot, and ND8 for the last two. All with CPL attached.

The planning of our trip to Coron started when i was invited by Jay to go there last year. I was not permitted to go with them because i think it was a week long trip and my bday also fell in that week.

After a year or so. My plan was awakened by seeing Ryan's

P A L A W A N-Sunstrokes.

2 weeks after that, i booked our flights then head on to an adventurous journey ahead.

Huts on stilts were everywhere in Lambingan Bridge. Do not forget to pass by this area when you visit Coron. Small wooden pathways were built to connect the bridge to the huts.

We happened to pass by Bulog Dos Island after visiting Malcapuya. The sun was starting to descend when we got to the place. I saw this mound of limestone drenched in afternoon sun so i requested the bankeros if i could take just one photo of the formation. The mound was about 10 feet high and i was having a hard time composing the shot.

Here is the best i can do...

Ive always been a fan of waves crashing on shore rocks. Ive seen Jay and Randall's images of those kind for some time now and i tried to capture a moment of that sort of image. I wasnt so sure what settings to use so i tried several. We were still in Calambuyan that time when i saw a rock formation that was quite often, being hit by incoming waves.

In Coron, we will never run out of subjects to shoot. Even if our bangkero constantly reminded me of being careful on stepping on the stones because they are slippery, or not to step on to stone fishes in waist deep water because they will cause painful wounds. But still, i had to go on... After i shot the frame, He then told me "Grabe ang tyaga mo Sir Gid" (very patient). I told him, if i were not to shoot like this, then i will be regretful at the end of the day, not being able to sleep because i missed such an opportunity. In my principle, there is no same image as another. Even when two photographers are shooting side by side at the very same day, at the very same spot and moment... Nothing will appear the same. Similar, yet different. Then he nodded in agreement.

As i reviewed my days work in our hotel, all i can do is smile. I may not have the best images of Coron (some other people has way better photos), but the feeling of contentment is there because i knew i worked hard for it, and i earned my shots.

I dont know if I still have anything left to post here. So i guess this would me my final image of the series (still looking). I do hope you enjoyed my presentation and hoping also to inspire you.

Thank you very much for viewing...

nice pictures. give me the dreamy feeling. :)

ohhhhhhhhhhhh :heart::heart:

was the foreground originally so contrasty? i prefer it to be a wee bit less, love this scene though

Mare,

Yeah it was. It was way too sharp also. I think its because of the sun light hitting the rocks. I actually did some minor blurring because the original shot was too sharp. Weird but true. On the other site, i got a comment about it being too photoshopped. I didnt do any sharpening in this particular image, its the other way around. Lolz!:)

I think this is it for me in this series. Hope you enjoyed. Hopefully, i can have a follow up on this one. I consider this one of my major photo ops. Its like once a year haha!

See you around man!

Mare,

Need you to comment on this one. Thanks...
