C-41 Home Processing Kits: Where to Buy

Hi Everyone,

I know that home C-41 processing is becoming some what more popular and would love to give it a go. Does anyone know of where in Singapore I can purchase a kit or if not Singapore online that I can import from? I've check with Ruby and was told that they do not carry C-41 processing kits anymore.

Also, I was thinking of getting an immersion sous vide to regulate the temp of the chemicals. Has anyone tried this and if so what did you use and how successful was it?

Thanks for your feedback. Are you able to keep and reuse any of your c-41 processing chemicals or is it a one time thing?

the solution capability is listed in here

You have to take the risk if you try to reuse the chemicals. In fact it is better to accumulate more rolls to process at one go to ensure that the chemicals are fresh.

do not have the thinking that home cooked / manual processed film is inferior then machine processed.
They are just as good, if not BETTER than films processed from photo shops..

I'm also keen to start doing C-41 processing. I have always done my own b&w, and still do regularly, but have avoided C-41. I generally have a film or two processed every week at a lab, but I'm finding the results a bit inconsistent, and frequently the negs come back dirty (from three different labs). I also enquired at Ruby about chemicals. I wonder if there are enough people who want to do this to encourage them to restock with chemicals for C-41. The currently available NOVA processors look interesting and not too expensive compared to the new JOBO. The fact that JOBO introduced the new processor after stopping manufacture a few years back suggests that there is demand.

You don't necessarily need a processor. I did E-6 with my normal drum and the hot/cold water bath as mentioned above.

Saves cost.
