Buying Nikon Lens in HK

Understand that quite a lot of ppl get lens in Hong Kong. Anyone knows any place where I can get cheaper lens in HK ? May have a day free on my next trip.

hi, about the lens in HK i think is similar in s'pore or m'sia.
for the price is not much diff.
maybe u can try n see about the Camera Body,
for last time i also when to hk n see the price really is cheaper than here.
i prefer u try n get the 2nd hand lens in hk, that's really cheap there.
but i last time no time to go. abit rush.

Huh? Since when Nikon lenses same price as here? The Nikon 300mm F4 is around 1.6k compared to SG's 2k.

dunno leh, because last time i when there, i comapered the price is same as here.
nikon 300mm F4 gray edition in jb only $1900.
2nd hand shop is near at 9 lon.

haha, i think so, if i want to buy at there.
mine bring until the victoria mountain view to tooks photo, i just knew my tripod leg is broken.
so i consider bought from hk for the tripod only.. there are cheaper, all made in china also.
only sell at HK $250 only. on my blog still can see it.

Heard from a friend there is a building in Sham Shui Po that sells electronic goods. Wonder if it sell lens there ?

Sham Shui Po, i when there for get tripod only
i saw dun have any camera lens there.
most of shop are selling, tripods, handphone , binocular, webcam to fixed on shophouse and house for secure only.

The normal lens (eg. DX zoom lens) price are about the same as Singapore, if the price has the wide difference is usually the parallel imports lens, Singapore also has, is not necessary to buy from Hong Kong. Special type of lens (eg. PC Lens, Super Tele) Hong Kong usually have stock, and the price definitely better. I got my PCE 24mm f3.5 from Hong Kong @S$2688 , CT Photo ask for S$3299. (About Aug 2008).

Camera Body Hong Kong Price is better, but only local warranty (Hong Kong)

Sure! I'm glad that it's useful.

Yah. They always say that they have international warranty for lens and not for bodies. Their grey mkt ones, or shui huo are even cheaper, but there's only shop warranty most of the time.
