I'm always most impressed by people who are able to come up with a guess of the lens just by looking at the pictures. Is 28-70 your favourite lens?blurblock said:Looks like taken from a normal 28-70 lens ......
You want to borrow one of my lens? If you do, when do you need it?
I used Tamron 28-200 and 50mm F1.4, although I would say most of the pictures were taken with 28-200. For film, I used Kodak Gold 200, the normal colour negative film.alvin said:Colin,
may I know what setup & film did you use for your 3rd wedding pics in your online album? I have been arrowed by my friend to take his rom pics, and it seems like I can't convince him to take on a professional
What's more my main zoom lens just died. Argh no time to go sigma for repairs

Same here. I predominantly, although not exclusively, use zooms for covering events.alvin said:Thanks colin!
I use zooms when covering events (e.g. friend's wedding), usually I favour my 70-210/4 - prefer to shoot from a distance without disturbing the main photog. More convenient too. Else I usually use primes for my own stuff. I am hoping to get a 24mm or wider lens for those cool wideangle pics... but... cost of a lens is usually inverse to its usage =)
What scanner did you use for your pics?

planning to shoot another roll with the lens at f2.8 / above to see how. seems like that's the consensus anyway (see also photo.net's review of the minolta 50mm/1.7). comparing the canon and the minolta, i think the 600si body is much more user friendly (maybe i'm too used to it already). only downfall is that i sometimes forget to turn the dials back in to place, and end up with exposure bracketing / timer functions when i don't need them.
