I am planing to get a HV20 and I heard Alan Photos is one of the better shops at SLQ for prices and no nonsense dealing. Any other shops to recommend?
Or if there is anybody who wants to sell a 2nd hand one?

Thanks in advance!

Is your wide angle converter 0.45x? It is likely you video quality will be affected by the converter. Try not to use it too often is possible. A decent converter for HV20 will cost about $200-$300.

Stick to one brand of mini-DV tapes, and don't waste money on "HD" tapes. No difference in quality from normal tapes.

I would agree... Choose 1 brand of Tape and stick with it... I'm going with Panasonic.

Regular $4 Tapes will do, if you want "quality" tapes... don't reuse ur tapes.

Hi,

Does the HV20 come with any video editing software?
