buying a compact film cam

hi folks, i am looking for a compact flim cam for my granny for xmas!

went to alot of places but mostly digi cam.... looking at a real simple one. (below $150$200).... any lobangs?

if you looking for something brand new (since it's gonna be a xmas present), you gonna be hard done by the choices that are still available at those photo printing shops in hdb estates and shopping centres. the cameras are not reputable ones....

if you dont mind secondhand stuff, check out ebay or clubsnap's very own classifieds....

if you die die must find something brand new, there's this camera shop i stumbled into once at City Plaza (geylang - across the road from the lion city hotel). it's located on the ground floor opposite the Second Chance boutique, alas, i dont know the name of this shop.... it's got quite an interesting collection of film compacts which are brand new, but OLD STOCK. i have no idea how long they been sitting on the shelves but cosmetically they look excellent.

the shopowner does charge a premium for them though....the last time i was there (about 3 months ago), there was an Oly LT-1 (green, $200+) and an Oly Stylus Epic/ Mju ll (close to $200).
