Buy Stuff in Hong Kong ?

Hi all, I am going to HK next month. How is the price of gear ( say lenses ) there compared to S'pore ? Worth to buy there ? Any advice appreciated. tq

Depends wat u are looking for. High cost stuff like Leica and Hasselblad are worth it there. Can save the equivalent of your air ticket. But u must know your prices well and what u wan. The shops there can be like those in SLS who just try their best to rip u off. Can recommend a few if u let me know what u looking to buy.

I second this suggestion. They offered me very good service.

There are also second hand shops in the same building and along Kimberley Rd just around the corner.

Just bought a bunch of stuff from Tin Cheung and was there to pickup.

Ms Chan and Ernest give very good quotes, their new Leica and Canon lenses is much better priced than in Singapore. Also their Gitzos, and stuff not available here like the Epson R-D1. Canon bodies are more expensive tho.

Their email reply not very quick, better to call, discuss, and confirm.

Whats the price like for the Manfrotto carbon-fibre tripods? Better to buy accessories as no warranty anyway.
