Dear all,
Today.. I had a sad encounter. Someone commented that Canon 1000D cannot produce high quality pictures.
He says the Raw Quality not as good as 5D MKII or 1DsM...
I told him I shot my first wedding assignment with a borrowed D70s cam. I showed him my 8R print. He was stunned. Its a simple pic. Good enough for the bride.

CS Ling Shot many Landscape and Nature pic with her D70s before saving enough to get her D200. They made it to Asia Geographic Full spread pages.
My friend use a D40x + 18~200mm in -35degrees Mongolia and got his picture exhibited.
Some other fantastic pics I found of 1000D Users.

I am in a photographic club and it does chance upon me that many shooters from poorer countries save to get a basic or second hand camera to take good pictures and sent it all over the world hoping to change their life and the life of others. They really go miles to get their pictures done. Its stunning.
So passionate about shooting, that mail posting would mean 1 meal less for some of these shooters. I happen to spoke to some of them while in Vietnam.
We are very blessed in Singapore. We have cams to preserve memories, tell stories.. and for some.. shoot XMM.....
I told that friend.. not to pass such commends on Cheap Camera (I was once poor and had to pay for my own film during my school days.. B/W some more).
Cheaper cams has their limitations. If that drives/ challenge you to think out of the box to capture the pic why not?
I think he needs to change his Cheap Attitude towards photography.
Cheers!
