I pray pray Canon will release 60D this Jun with better ISO Noise handling and at least 30fps for HD Video recording. :bsmilie: Otherwise i will either get 50D or 5DM2. Wonder how long can it stay with me also... My 450D only with me for half yr, but got sianz of the low ISO i can go for night shots.

Just that I am waiting for sale when Canon throw in more freebies or reduce their price lower during Mid Yr Sale. Now they don't have extra Canon battery leh.

:bigeyes::bigeyes::bigeyes: U really wacking $$$ buy 5D2?

The shoot is this coming sat? I think I cannot join on sat cos I have another event to cover. LoL
Paintball, is the date fixed yet? I'm definitely keen on it though.

... Die... I come from film background and so far... I shoot at most ISO 1600....(1% of the time) Mostly ISO 100, 200, 400 (85%)....800 (10%).... do we need so much ISO???:think:

Maybe I shoot Wide angle most of the time.. therefore can keep to 1/35 s. No High ISO, Shoot with Wide Angle lor. :-}

Get the EOS 1V

Coming from a Nikon Die Hard.... er.. and Tokina.... acceptable....

1. Since you just started.. get a SB800 (2nd hand)... Dump the SB600 - good for spare.
2. Invest in a SB900 if you think you will still be shooting for the next 3 years and have intention to get op to 200mm f/2.8 lens. :-}

Forget about Third party... Nikon has this 3rd party lens and flash incompatibility issue.... with some Tamron and Sigma lens

Cheers!

wow! start thinking of work...graduating this yr? what course u taking now?

18-200 is convenient lens. Pic quality shld be ok if u know how to use it :confused:
as for flash, if u can afford, get new flash. You never know how the previous owner use it. Sometimes flash spoil easily.

Which butterfly location going?

hort park butterfly garden. This place is slightly smaller than the butt lodge.
I was there last sat. Anyway they only open to public on last sat of the mth for guided walk. Coming?

Talking about flash. That day at SB you were mentioning about Canon 580 EXII can go up to 200mm? Confirmed? Cos i thought i saw somewhere it still stated as 105mm only.
Anyway thats part of my upgrade also. Shooting 200mm with 430EX II, the flash can't reach, so kinda dark.
Yeah and Nikon has a much better iso noise handling unlike canon. For 450D, at ISO400, noise already start to appear and its apparent in dark areas. ISO800 has visible noise, think i can only accept 50% of it.
I presume 50D should have slight advantage over 450D since its a CMOS sensor.

Yeah go for SB900. Buy once n for all, and use it for many many years. :)

580 higher guide no can reach further. If use flash often, can keep 430 as backup.

Not the Canon Flash.. Nikon SB900... up to 200mm. 450D... also CMOS right? D300, D700 is dark places.. noise also will show... Indra spend $44USD on Noise Ninja.. The picture looks sharp and clean.

tot last time u said tat lens nt good :confused:

Not Good enough to sell pictures, Not Good enough for events, Has its Limitations in Low Light. Very Significant signs of vignetting. Good enough for Travel, Practice composition, Find Shooting Style. Good enough for scouting.Due to the many sections and moving parts.. perform excellently in collecting dust :bsmilie:
