To hisphotography :

(the same answer like previous one)
some of the photos I shot using filter (others taken only using UV filter to protect the lens from dust, water, scratch):

#3 End of The Afternoon (Selatar Reservoir, Singapore, 2009) => ND Grade 4
#6 Forever Memorial (in Vertical) (Kranji War Memorial, Singapore, 2008) => CPL
#9 Orchard Central (Orchard Central, Singapore, 2009) => ND Grade 4
# 35 Color of The Sea (Siloso Beach, Sentosa Island, Singapore, 2009) => ND Grade 4

The sunset, I shot without special filter (only UV filter to protect the lens) because I prefer the “natural filter”, that is the thin cloud / fog in front of the sunset , that helps to block the excessive light from the sun (so the flame surrounding the sun can be reduced and can get the better round shape of the sun)

Thanks alot for your C&C, cheer ;p

Nice shot.... interesting composition! ;)

to Shutterooz :

Very good works here. Some very refreshing POVs & I'm thoroughly enjoying them.

lovely pictures! refreshing takes on places/objects that i'd otherwise pass without a second look. couldn't have guessed #57 was the wheel at citilink, was staring at it for a minute wondering what it was. great composition!

want to clarify if you don't mind, the 4 ND filter is graduated or normal? if it is normal ND filter wht's the purpose of using it? hoping to learn from you. thanks!

To NineEleven :
Thanks lot for your C&C, it means a lot to me :p

To tjana :
For your C&C, I want to say thank you so much ;p I usually using filter ND Graduated (others say ND half, also ND Grade…..pardon me if i am wrong) to block the excessive lighting from bright sky. And also for doing outdoor portrait (combined with flash / external lighting) when i need to make the sky to become more dramatic. Sometimes I also use Normal ND 4 (combined with flash / lighting) for doing portrait to get the specify skin tone (usually for model / people which the skin are to white). Pardon me if the answer is not so ideal, I also still learn and need to know more and practice more. Cheer ;p

I must say that you have an excellent eye for composition.

Many of us here in cs can learn a thing or two from you.

You have some very interesting perspectives dude..couldn't pick one over other as they stand out unique :thumbsup:

#13 The Silent Sunset (Sunset Walk, Changi Beach, Singapore, 2008)

Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off
Image Height: 2576
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2 Windows

Scene Capture Type: Standard
Contrast: Low
Saturation: Low
Sharpness: Soft
Compression: JPEG (old-style)
Photoshop Format: Standard

I metered it from the nearest object(s) of the sun (that was potential being as one of the interesting object combined with the sun), that was the pillar of boat, and wait until the sun was quite low (almost gone) so i could get the sunset with less flame. I very like if the sunset is combined with thin cloud, because i prefer to use the thin cloud (in front of the sun) as “my filter” to block the glare / flame so I still can have a nice shape and color of the big sun set. I used fixed lens 500mm f/8 to get photos with big sunset Pardon me if my knowledge and experience might be not so good enough for doing this, I still need to learn more, get more C&C from all or you to improve my next photo shooting
