very handsome model :bsmilie::thumbsup:

Yep, can see the drag marks. I've just gotten a new bottle of developer from ruby, hopefully this will solve the problem, now I just have to finish the roll of film.

hi.

where is the bromide mark ?

i see a patch above the right shoulder and cuts across the window and curtain ?

I see this on my negs as well, I attribute it to

a. developer not evenly made from powder. Looks like this is not the case since HC-110 is syrup. I had this with chalky white marks when I used a powder form Microdol-x and I solved it by pouring the developer over a cotton gauze sieve.

b. tap water residue. Use distilled water or maybe mineral water to try it out ?

thanks

I sort of PP this pics so you cant see it really but check the top right, you see "rays of light" coming down, imagine that coming down on the entire film.

Dont think its tap water residue la, been doing this for so long, unless PUB recently put in new things in their water.

I've bought a bottle of HC-110 from Ruby, will try this weekend.

Royale,

Now I see the bromide drag. That's what I sometimes get when I do stand development.

Sorry. Can't comment much, I have a HC-110 down to 20% and bright orange in color, but it has been used since Feb this year, so I doubt if I have the same problem so quickly.

Do let us know if your new HC-110 works out.

a small little trick to reduce your drag, but need a bigger tank, or just buy a container. You turn your film roll in vertical position instate of lateral where your film punch hole in top and bottom position.

Top secret leh. ;)

Hi guys

I just did some DO last night on me film with new bottle of HC-110!

Havent gone about scanning it but based on the film I'm looking at, its beautiful! I think the developer just went bad on my previous bottle.

Great to hear that! That's some food for thought though... I have an unused bottle of HC 110 that I keep in my cupboard. I hope that it can still be used when I use up my current bottle.

Just turn your bottle of hc-110 upside down once a week/month, you will have less problem with.

really? What does turning it updside down do for the chemical?

Originally the developer should be made into stock solution, then from stock solution to working solution.

After some time the bottom part of concentrate solution is heavier than the top part,
we mix directly to working solution, these are the problem (various contrast, pepper black dot, bromide drag, etc) when the concentrate solution did not blend in accordingly.

hmmm, you got a point. thanks!
