I prefer the brightness to be lower slightly.

Actually for the pics, I just overlay the colour and IR photos, and set to one of the overlay option, merge and then sharpen. (Did that in less than 5min). Did not adjust using any of the contrast, brightness, saturation, curve etc. Like the pastel look (which has more brightness and less saturation) and did not bother to touch up further. Agree that can get more saturation if I mask the coloured photo and overlay with IR photo but that will take quite a lot of time. Will try that if I have the time to see how it looks like.

2nd pix with white leaves is better.
Nice PS..must learn from u.
If u crop up to the white patch on the right bottom.. u might see
a nicer composition without the colorful tiles & the patch of shadow at the bottom of this pix.
More sky and less ground if can't avoid the colors tiles during the shooting.

Thanks Stanley for the advice. Wanted to do that but no tripod. the flat railing gives me that view. In fact after taking the IR in M mode and Preset WB, while adjusting the setting to P mode and AWB for coloured pic, the camera moves a little. So when I overlay the pics, have to move them slightly fit in correct position. Lesson learnt: must bring my tripod if I want to have better composition and also overlay effect.
